IMEA – Here We Come!

On January 13th Signature Sound and Bella Voce have been invited to be a big part of the Indiana Music Education Association Convention in Fort Wayne, IN. The first part is that both of these ensembles have been asked to perform for the convention at the stunning First Presbyterian Church, which is a block away from the convention center. Next, Bella Voce has been asked to be a ‘lab choir’ for Dr. Kerry Glen of Ball State University to model performance practices that create choral success. Lastly, 15 members of Franklin Community High School Choir will perform in the ‘All State Choir’ in the historic and incomparable Embassy Theatre. There’s lots to be proud of and even more to get involved with! If you’re interested in attending as a chaperone/spectator, please email Mr. Hummel or Mr. Brickens.

Dear FCHS Choir Family, Friends, Alumni, and Supporters~

Franklin Community High School Choral Department will be hosting our 3rd annual show choir/choral competition. We are over the moon excited about this opportunity to showcase our community hospitality. Franklin Community’s 3rd Annual ShowFest competition will be on Friday, February 2 (5:00-11:00) and Saturday, February 3 (7:30 am 11:00 pm). On Friday evening, we are expecting schools bringing approximately 500 students with an estimated 900 spectators in attendance. On Saturday, we are expecting choir groups bringing approximately 1900 students plus 3300 parents. Our high school choir groups for SHOWFEST include local Indiana groups as well as schools as far away as Tennessee, Ohio and Illinois. At this time, some local groups include: Greenwood, Franklin Central, Whiteland, Martinsville, Beech Grove, Lawrence Central, Noblesville, Brownsburg, Plainfield, and Edgewood. This event is open to the public as well.
We have a couple of ways you can help us to make this event a success. They include becoming an Event Sponsor and/or becoming a Trophy Sponsor. I will explain both of these various sponsorships.

Event Sponsors:

There are a few different levels to choose from as an Event Sponsor.
1. The Sensation Level sponsorship is $500. With this sponsorship you will provide a ¼ page ad, which will be placed in our ShowFest program. Your company name will receive on stage recognition once and be displayed on our website through May 2018. You will receive 2 weekend tickets to ShowFest and an event program.
2. The Heritage Level sponsorship is $1000. With this sponsorship you will provide a ½ page ad, which will be placed in our ShowFest program. Your company name will receive on stage recognition at least once each day of the contest and be displayed on our website through May 2018. You will receive 4 weekend tickets to ShowFest and an event program.
3. The Signature Level sponsorship is $2000. With this sponsorship you will provide a full-page ad (8.5” x 11”), which will be placed in our ShowFest program. Your company name will receive on stage recognition at least once on Friday and a minimum of 3 times on Saturday and be displayed on our website through May 2018. You will also receive recognition on our Facebook page. You will receive 8 weekend tickets to ShowFest and an event program.

Trophy Sponsors:

We will be awarding over 45 trophies (as tall as 5’) and as many as 250 medals. Trophy sponsorships range from $25-$100. Sponsor names will be prominently displayed on the specific trophy sponsored, announced on stage and included in our ShowFest program. Awarded trophies are displayed in school display cases for all to see! Awarded medals are given to individual students within a choir who has been awarded the Grand Champion title. They are also given to one specific individual within each show choir named as that choirs’ Outstanding Performer. Specific trophy and medal sponsorships are outlined in the pages that follow.

Here are a couple of examples of how the trophy sponsor name may be shown.
