Zach Cardwell – Private Voice Instructor
University of Indianpolis Graduate
As an educator, Cardwell has a private voice studio that encompasses a wide range of experiences, ages and locations throughout the Greater Indianapolis Community and outlying areas. Due to his experience and passion for choral music, Cardwell is also an active choral technician for many high school programs, including show choir and concert choir. In the Spring of 2014, he made his international teaching debut in Nice, France, while teaching at the International School of Nice for six weeks. Finally, he is on the faculty at the University of Indianapolis as a Music Theory Instructor for the Pre-College and Adult Music Programs, a voice instructor for the Hauser Music Academyat St. John’s United Church of Christ, and is the Head of Chorister Instruction at Trinity Episcopal Church.
During the previous few years, he has received numerous awards for his performance, teaching and academic achievements, such as the Outstanding Future Music Educator Award from the Indiana Music Educators Association, the Madge Cathcart Gerke Scholarship for Music Education from the Mu Phi Epsilon Foundation, the Collegiate Professional Achievement Award from the National Association for Music Education, the Esch Scholarship from the University of Indianapolis, the institution’s equivalent to being named valedictorian.
Cardwell graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Indianapolis with a Bachelor’s of Music degree in both Music Education and Vocal Performance.
